Back Acne

September 3rd, 2009

Do you or anyone you know suffer from back acne? If you suffer from mild back acne all you may need to treat it is a over the counte body wash. They say that you should choose a body wash that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. If you have tried using a body wash and it isn’t making a difference then it may be time to see your doctor. There are topical antibiotics that your doctor may need to subscribe to you.

One thing I do know is that you shouldn’t aggressively scrub acne with harsh brushes, sponges, etc because it can make the acne worse. If you have more severe back acne you might actually need to take an oral antibiotic. Some of the common ones are minocycline, erythromycin, tetracycline, and doxycycline. Another important thing to remember is to not pick the pimples or whiteheads because it will cause further damage.
