I don’t think the majority of us eat enough foods that are high in fiber. In order to have more perfect skin, muscles, and overall well-being I think we need to eat better. It seems like we are always in such a rush, running around like chickens with their heads cut off. So, what do we? We drive through the closest fast food restaurant, stop at the local convenient store and grab a bag of potato chips or reach for something frozen and processed from our freezer. This is not healthy people! Although I have been guilty of doing all three of the above, more than once. I’ve decided to buy more “healthy” food when I go to the grocery store. Something that has recently come to my attention is that of the importance of eating foods that are high in fiber. So I’m going to put the following items in my grocery cart the next time I go shopping: apples, apricots, asparagus, avocados, blackberries, blueberries, bananas, broccoli, cabbage, cantalope, some raw almonds and cashews. There are so many wonderful foods out there that are high in fiber, but I’m going to first start out with the fruits and vegetables.
